Worx Equipment Pty Ltd supplies earthmoving equipment rental and specialised maintenance services throughout Western Australia.

We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, reliable workmanship with a focus on safety, creating long-term value for our clients in the Mining and Civil Construction sectors. In addition, we have a fully operational workshop located in Welshpool where we conduct repairs on client equipment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our workshop is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where quality and efficiency are paramount. We are looking for a highly experienced and driven individual who, as the next Leading Hand HD Fitter, will support our workshop team by planning, managing, and executing various maintenance tasks, that will continue to deliver a high quality of service to our clients.

  • Organise, resource, and provide technical advice, leadership, and direction to the workshop team.
  • Execute major machine rebuilds, scheduled repairs, including component change-outs and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform inspections to assess and scope defects accurately and promptly.
  • Complete tasks efficiently, using initiative to improve practices and reduce costs.
  • Manage maintenance and rebuild practices as well as the working conditions of the workplace to comply with company and industry standards.
  • Work and communicate effectively with all team members to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effectively manage onsite contractors and coordinate their work tasks.
  • Experience with rental plant hire on and off process is desirable.
  • Previous experience as a Leading Hand/Team Leader, with Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant trade qualifications in Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with CAT 785D, CAT 777F & G, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment, is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and comply with the Safety Health and Management Systems.
  • Diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air systems.
  • Effective time management and work prioritisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
