Founded in 2018, WORX Equipment Pty Ltd was born from a vision to provide the highest level of customer service and a desire to work in partnership with clients to help them achieve their goals. WE specialise in rental of mining and civil heavy earthmoving equipment and the provision of high quality maintenance services.

WE understand the impact equipment downtime has on any operation. Our mission is to provide you with the ability to drive productivity forward through the supply of reliable equipment supported by a team of skilled maintenance support technicians.

SCOTT WOLFENDEN – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Scott is the founding Director of Worx Equipment. He is trade qualified as an heavy duty diesel fitter and has over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry working for a range of owner operators and large mining contracting companies in management positions ranging from planner, supervisor and superintendent through to maintenance manager and plant manager.

With his extensive experience and a passion for heavy earthmoving equipment, Scott has exacting standards and ensures quality machines and workmanship are delivered every time.

Scott leads the strategic growth and development of Worx Equipment with a strong focus on improving machine reliability and minimising downtime for clients, in turn, increasing productivity and profit.

JAMES CALTER – MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Possessing over two decades experience across various mine site and workshop environments in the mobile equipment maintenance sector, James has had extensive involvement with OEM dealerships and rental machinery providers.

A highly motivated, organised and engaged professional, James has a strong background in asset management and is an accomplished leader who possesses excellent technical knowledge on a wide range of mobile heavy earth moving equipment.

LISA BUTTERWORTH – BUSINESS MANAGER

With extensive experience managing and leading large teams, Lisa is a highly motivated and competent manager with a strong passion for process innovation, compliance and improving resource efficiencies, ensuring all contractual and regulatory requirements are met.

Lisa is an accomplished individual adept at developing and implementing systems and processes that drive performance and optimise customer service whilst minimising expenditure and maximising profits.

Possessing a significant history working in a management role for Australia’s largest airline in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, Lisa is a calm and focussed professional who is able to handle high-stress situations and rapidly-moving operations with ease.

ANTHONY WALSH – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

With a career spanning more than 20 years’ in the WA mining industry, Anthony has extensive experience in operations management and business development management with leading OEMs. Having achieved formal qualifications in mechanical engineering and fabrication/welding, Anthony is well equipped to fully understand our client’s rental equipment needs and offer tailored solutions.

Anthony strengths include his organisational skills, excellent interpersonal communication and comprehensive mechanical and technical knowledge across a wide range of heavy earthmoving equipment.

A passionate collaborator, Anthony is an easy going, friendly and motivated individual who is adept at building professional relationships and working in collaboration with clients to establish mutually beneficial outcomes.

ELIZABETH WOLFENDEN – COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER

Elizabeth has been with Worx Equipment since its inception in 2018 working across all facets of the operations from accounts, HR and payroll to IT, document management and administration; playing an integral part in the growth and development of the business. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Communications degree in Journalism and Photomedia and has previously worked in the communications sector for the WA Government, news and magazine publications as well as not for profit organisations. She also has worked within the mining sector for several years, for a major owner operator, across various roles developing a strong understanding of the mining industry.

Elizabeth is a competent and capable professional who is passionate about effective communication strategies and enjoys mentoring others to improve and develop their communication skills in order to reach their full potential.

BRENDAN SHALDERS – NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Brendan Shalders is a qualified CPA with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance and over 16 years’ experience in corporate development, strategy implementation, financial reporting, transaction advisory and financial analysis and modelling services.

Brendan has acted as the Chief Financial Officer at Poseidon Nickel since 2019 and prior to that has worked in a number of senior management positions at major international consulting firms, working on projects in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Europe where he was involved in due diligence processes for disposals, acquisitions and capital market transactions and provided transactional, integration and accounting advice.
